    PROPOSAL SUBMISSION - Due October 23, 2023

    Your academic affiliation (or “Independent Scholar”)
    No multiple submissions for CCTE. [You may submit one piece to CCTE and another to the Texas College English Association (TCEA), which meets jointly with CCTE.]
    Max file size: 20MB
    All abstracts, papers, creative pieces, and panel proposals MUST be submitted with a cover page with the title, presenter’s name, academic affiliation (or “Independent Scholar”), mailing address, telephone, and email address. The actual abstract, paper, creative writing, or panel proposal must be titled but bear NO writer identification on any of its pages.
    Submission Guidelines:
    • By October 23, 2023: Online submissions accepted at https://www.cctetx.org/2024-full-paper-upload-page.html
    • All presentations must be limited to 15 minutes (recommended length of presentation paper: 7-9 double spaced pages)
    • No multiple submissions for CCTE: You may, of course, submit one piece to CCTE and another to the Texas College English Association (TCEA), which meets jointly with CCTE. TCEA has its own CFP.
    • Paper submissions: 250-word abstracts or full versions of conference papers.
    • Creative submissions: Works in poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction must be complete when submitted.
    • Panel proposals: These must include a full abstract or paper from each panel member.
    • Blind judging: All abstracts, papers, creative pieces, and panel proposals MUST be submitted with a cover page with the title, presenter’s name, academic affiliation (or “Independent Scholar”), mailing address, telephone, and email address. The actual abstract, paper, creative writing, or panel proposal must be titled but bear NO writer identification on any of its pages.
    • Program acceptance: If work is accepted for presentation, presenters must pay CCTE dues and register before the conference. CCTE only accepts submissions that have not been read or published elsewhere.
